Brian
Your Dad and I were very good friends from grades 7 - 12. I used to borrow his Gretch guitar and Skylark amp. We had a bicycle track in his back yard as he was a big racing fan back then. He was very smart and excelled in everything he was involved in. He was one of the first guys I new that had a car and it is a wonder we made it alive through high school. He could drive his car at 100 through the eye of a needle with great precision! He was always a gentleman and respectful of people and very well respected as well.
I moved to Alabama just after graduation in 1970 and did not see him again until 43 years later in June of 2013 when he appeared at my brother (Buddy Jones) funeral at Dunbar. I regret we did not have more time to catch up.
I would love to get a chance to meet you some day if opportunity arises.

I am so very sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. He was always so nice to me when we attended A.C. Flora together many years ago. My sympathy to his family.

So sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. I remember him so well from Flora; he was always smiling, always made me laugh. The one thing which stands out the most, his beautiful eyes. Wayne was a good friend to all.

Beverly and Brian, My deepest sympathy in your loss of your friend and father.
This is yet another heartache but you can look forward to the time you will meet again. I knew Wayne many years ago when we were "young". He was a friend of my husbands (Men's softball). I kept up with what was happening with him through my freindship with you (Mom). Again I am so sorry for your loss. I know you will miss him. Claire

Beverly and Brian, I am so sorry to have just heard of Wayne's death. I wish I could be with you tomorrow for his service, but I will be in Easley at the memorial service for my sister in law. Please know that I have such wonderful memories of our friendship and times together. My prayers are with you and the rest of the family.

Just saw news of Wayne's passing. Had not seen Wayne in years. He was always in a good mood and made me laugh. If I remember he loved to play basketball. Hate that I had lost touch with Wayne. Time has a way of doing that. God's peace to the family.

Our deepest sympathy and love to all the Catoe and Ballard family. We will miss Wayne's wit. His love for his family just beamed in his face whenever they were together.
