William Graham Obituary

William Ronald Graham LEXINGTON - A celebration of life for William Ronald Graham, of Columbia, will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Mr. Graham died February 2, 2014. He was born in Horry County and was a son of Ansel and the late Willie Mae Graham of Aynor. He attended Horry County schools, was a graduate of the University of South Carolina, and a lifelong Gamecock. An entrepreneur all of his life, Mr. Graham had owned and operated the Allergy and Air Quality Center for the past 26 years. He was a member of the Indoor Air Quality Association, American Indoor Air Quality Council, Lexington and Richland County Chambers of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau, the National Filter Association, and the Vitamin D Council. As a loving and caring son, he spent many days traveling to Aynor to take care of his 101 year-old father. An avid salt and freshwater enthusiast, he enjoyed nothing more than fishing, shrimping, and spending a day on his boat. Surviving are his beloved wife of 52 years, Janet Jenerette Graham, his daughters, Melanie Davis, Shelley (John) Burnsed, and Wendy (Tim) Sanders; six grandchildren, Chelsea, Devan, Alexandra (Eric), Richard, Zachary and Sydney, and one great-grandson, Landon. He is also survived by his father, Ansel Graham of Aynor, a sister, Annette (Lin) McGraw of Alexandria, VA, a brother, Barry (Cedi) Graham of Woodbridge, VA, many nieces and nephews, and his precious puppy, Chloe. He was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Mae Graham of Aynor. www.caughmanharmanfuneralhome.net

Janet and Family,

I learned of Ron's death only after recently reading of his father's passing. Ron was one of the nicest, most personable, and most generous men it has ever been my pleasure to know, let alone work with. Donna and I have never forgotten the various acts of kindness you and he performed on our behalf when we were a young, struggling, married couple so many years ago. Our prayers are for you, the girls (whom we remember only as little girls)and the family you and Ron have built.

A very nice and kind man. Went in to buy a furnace filter and 1 hour later I had the filter and shay butter. Very nice, knowledgeable and courteous man. God be with you in your loss.
