Charles Prondak Obituary

Charles A. Prondak, Jr., 70, of Wrentham, passed away on January 23, 2025 with his son by his side at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston after a battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Annie E. (Smith) Prondak.

Charlie was born in Boston on April 15, 1954 to the late Charles A. Prondak, Sr. and the late Margaret E. (Weschrob) Prondak. He was a graduate of Boston Technical High School, class of 1972. While working at the VFW Drive-In as a teenager, he met a mentor who introduced him to the construction industry where he perfected his skills as a carpenter. He also worked as a tractor mechanic for John Deere. He will always be remembered as a hard worker who could fix anything - if he couldnt fix it, no one could. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed trips to Castle Island in Boston.

In addition to his wife Annie, Charles is survived by his son, Cody Prondak of Wrentham, his sister Lillian Mallett of Shrewsbury, his sister Susan Bluestein and her husband Frank of Hampden, his brother Joseph Prondak of Dorchester, and his nieces Suzanne Mallett and Kristin Mallett of Portsmouth, NH. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, January 28th from 4-8 PM at the RJ Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, Wrentham. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Jimmy Fund at P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or via jimmyfund.org/gift.
