E. Levesque, Jr. Obituary

E. George "Butch" Levesque Jr., 74, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 11, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Lagacy) Levesque whom he married on December 24, 1966.
Born on September 6, 1946, in Pawtucket, RI, he was the son of the late Emerald G. Levesque Sr. and the late Juliette D. (Boisse) Levesque.
A lifelong resident of Attleboro, Butch was a graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1964, and received his Associate degree in Business Administration from Johnson & Wales University and his certification from the Jewelry Institute of Rhode Island.
Butch proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Army from 1966 until 1968 when he returned home as a hero.
He then worked for thirty-eight years as a toolmaker for Swarovski in Cranston, RI, before retiring in 2006.
A genuinely warm and outgoing man of many interests, music played an important part of Butch's life. A saxophonist and flutist, for many years he played in various bands, including as a member of "The Vikings" and "The Sounds of Silence".
He enjoyed golf, having played in a league at Stone E. Lea Golf Club; downhill and cross-country skiing with Mary; bowling, in both a league in Cranston, RI and through his work; camping; and was a member of a softball team in his younger years.
In addition to his wife, Mary, he leaves his loving children: Kerry (Levesque) Stevens and her husband, Christopher Stevens, of Lighthouse Point, FL; and Kristy (Levesque) Dubeau of Kingston, MA. He was the proud and adoring grandfather of Aidan Dubeau and Ethan Dubeau, and the dear brother of Diana D. Miller and her husband, Jeffrey Miller, of Jacksonville Beach, FL. Butch leaves his extended family and many dear friends.
Family and friends are cordially invited to honor Butch by attending Visitation with Veteran's Honors in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, on Friday, July 23, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon, immediately followed by Military Honors and a musical tribute at 12:00 Noon at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.

Remember Butch fondly. He was a classmate in Jr. High and a fellow musician. My prayers are with his entire family.
