Eileen Donnelly Obituary

Eileen B. (Squires) Donnelly, 75, of North Attleboro, MA passed away peacefully at her residence on October 29, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late John "Jack" K. Donnelly who passed away in March 2024.

Born in New Haven, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Robert Stephens Squires and the late Rita Eileen (Halpin) Squires. She will be dearly missed by her two children, Aran K. Donnelly and his wife, Cynthia Donnelly, of Attleboro, MA, Meghan K. Donnelly and her companion, Jonathan Fraser, of Norton, MA, and her cherished grandchildren, Sean and Shane Donnelly and Meadow and Makayla Taylor. She also leaves behind her brother, Robert Squires of California and her sister, Dale Willis of Florida, as well as many close family members and dear friends.

Eileen graduated from Somerset High School and Bristol Community College where she earned a degree in Business Administration. She began her professional career as a district manager at the New England Telephone Company and later joined her husband as the manager at Photo Magic of America.

With her engaging personality and smile, she soon became the face of Photo Magic and knew the majority of her customers by name. In later years, she became the Finance Manager for J. Brian Day in Plainville, MA and Carpets Plus in North Attleboro, MA.

Eileen enjoyed shopping with her friends and had a remarkable ability to always find the perfect gift for everyone. She was a superb cook and took pleasure in hosting family holiday dinners and backyard barbecues in her outdoor kitchen. She was proud of the landscape that she and her late husband designed and tended, and often hosted gatherings for Patriot's games, her Somerset High School, and Corvette Club friends.

As a longtime member of the South Shore Corvette Club, she and her husband took many wonderful trips throughout the US with the Club. She was also a skilled gardener and was a member of the North Attleboro Angle Tree Garden Club. And as much as she enjoyed being with her friends, she was an avid reader and enjoyed her quiet time with a good mystery and cup of tea.

Eileen was loved by all and will be deeply missed.

At her request, services will be private.
