Francis Engrassia Obituary

Attleboro – Francis C. Engrassia, 77, of Attleboro passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. He was the loving husband of Claire (Fowler) Engrassia of Attleboro.
Born on July 20, 1944 in Boston, MA, he was a son of the late Joseph and Sarah (Ternullo) Engrassia.
Frank grew up in the Columbia Point of Boston before moving to Milton, MA in 1969 and eventually residing in Attleboro from 2004 until present.
He attended the Boston Trade High School and was a 1962 graduate. Frank was employed as an Optician for most of his life in the Mattapan area of Boston. After his retirement he worked as a clerk at Pleasant Auto Center, in Attleboro where he enjoyed the staff, customers and his friendships with the Attleboro School Bus drivers.
He was a member of the Odd Fellows, Masons and Shriners organizations. Frank was also a member of the Faith Alliance Church in Attleboro.
He enjoyed model railroading, camping, relaxing out by his pool, photography and his weekly outings with family and friends. Frank enjoyed the Boy Scouts with his son and he was an avid animal lover.
Frank treasured his family and enjoyed his life to the fullest and will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Ron Engrassia of St. John U.S. Virgin Islands, his daughter-in-law, Nettie Engrassia of Attleboro; his grandchildren, Marguerite Engrassia, Abigail Engrassia and Jace Engrassia all of Attleboro and his brother, Richard Engrassia and his wife Noreen of Waltham.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 4-7 PM at Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Faith Alliance Church, 833 Pleasant St, Attleboro, MA. Burial will take place privately.
