Gerald "Gerry" W. Larence, 72, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, September 19, 2024. Born in Central Falls, RI, on June 15, 1952, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Aline (Meunier) Larence. He was the beloved husband of Denise (Davignon) Larence. They were happily married for 45 blissful years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving sons, David Larence and his wife Candice of Suffolk, VA, and Michael Larence and his wife Mackenzi of Boston, MA. He had two cherished grandchildren, Oliver William and Hunter Gerald. He is also survived by a devoted brother, Donald Larence and his wife Paulette, nieces Amy (Jonathan) Fitzpatrick, and Jennifer (Ross) Duff, and grandniece Camille Fitzpatrick of Pawtucket, RI. He was the brother of the late Sister Jeanne Larence, SSCh and Jeannine Bellavance.

With a distinguished military career spanning 31 years, Gerry served in many capacities for the Rhode Island Army National Guard and retired from active duty with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He then continued his public service as a civilian with the RI Natl. Guard for an additional 16 years. In his retirement, he devoted his time to helping other veterans.

Gerry was a man of faith, a devoted member of St. Mark's Parish, and served as a choir member and song leader for over 40 years. He was an enthusiastic golfer with his brother and sons, even shooting a hole-in-one. Gerry was passionate about music, photography, and videography, a longtime youth baseball umpire, and an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan.
