Dear Keough Family, she was by far the best teacher I ever had at SHS. Infact she helped me make my wedding gown after I graduated! She taught me so much about cooking, sewing and life, the kids of today don´t get that anymore! You were a lovely friend, teacher and neighbor! RIP Mrs Keough.

My dear sweet Helen, who I had the privilege of knowing only the last 8-10 years through the Barrington Women's Club Bridge. It was always calming and peaceful to enjoy time with Helen. To have found her for a friend, now, late in life, was a blessing for me. Her bridge game, her humor, her kindness and her patience were ever present. I loved her. I'm so grateful to have been invited to share her fabulous 95th Birthday. She was absolutely "glowing" with happiness that day! Cheers to a grand lady and to her precious family who sheltered her with such endless and loving care. God Bless.

Our hearts go out to the Keough family. My family and classmates will never forget Mrs Keough as she was the brightest, wisest, kindest and most caring of teachers. I will never forget how she treated us at SHS, with such great consideration and care far more than we boys ever deserved. She brought so much energy and attention to every student in every class. When she taught us how to make strawberry shortcake we learned a bit of chemistry and nutrition, she was a truly rare individual. Hurting deeply for the Keough family at this time. I can only imagine the loss you are feeling.

I graduated in 1974. Being a student in Mrs. Keough was one of my favorite teachers. Being in her home ec. class was one of the highlights of my four years at SHS. My best memory was the chicken cacciatore she taught us to make. I didn’t take the recipe home at the time, have tried to replicate it over the years, without success. She was the best. My sincere condolences to her family. May she Rest In Peace.
