James F. Durant

James F. Durant, age 72, passed away on Saturday June 11, 2022, at Hope Health Hospice of Providence. Born in Ilion , NY , he was the son of the late James N. and Helen S. (Lewis) Durant and beloved husband of Patricia (Barrows) Durant. Jim attended Frankfort Schuyter Central High School , and graduated from Mansfield High School in 1967 and went on to study architecture at Rhode Island School of Design. Jim worked in the packaging industry for many years beginning at Mason Box Company in North Attleboro . He was an avid handy man whose skills he shared with his two sons and later with his son by marriage.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons Mark Durant of North Attleboro, Lee Durant of Taunton and Jamie Emerson of Braintree, grandchildren: Brady, Brooke, Samantha, Brandon, Spencer, Gretchen, Elizabeth, and Cooper, great granddaughter: Peggy, siblings: Cheryl Walsh, George Durant, Claudia Swaider, Ann McNamara, and Mary D'Agostino.

Jim's private arrangements are under the care of Foley-Hathaway Funeral Home 126 South Main St., Attleboro.
