Joan Baldini Obituary

Joan Elizabeth (Hines) Baldini, age 71, of Seekonk, formerly of Florida and North Attleboro, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of Barry P. Baldini, to whom she was wed for forty-eight years.

Born in Providence, RI on September 26, 1951, she was a loving daughter of the late Raymond J. and Marjorie J. (Alvord) Hines.

Joan grew up in Cranston and Attleboro and was a 1969 graduate of Attleboro High School. She continued her education, graduating from the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital School for Nursing.

Joan was a retired LPN and former Director of the Hillside Adult Day Health Center in Attleboro and later in Mansfield. She resided many years in Rotonda West, Florida before moving to Seekonk three years ago to be able to spend time with her family and the light of her life, grandson Maxwell, age 7. She loved spending time on Cape Cod in Dennis and will always be remembered as a generous and empathetic soul who was devoted to her family and loved with her whole heart.

In addition to her beloved husband Barry and cherished grandson Maxwell, she is survived by her devoted children: Courtney McCarthy of North Attleboro and Anthony H. Baldini of Seekonk. She was the dear sister of Anne Archambault and her husband Charles of Florida, Barbara Allen and her husband Joseph of Rhode Island, Leslie Swanson of Brewster, MA and Rowena Sullivan of Goshen, MA. She is also survived by her uncle Robert Hines of Providence, as well as her loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, December 5th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield. Burial will be private.

Those wishing may remember Joan with a donation in her memory made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Baldini Family and Hines Family,

I can´t believe Joan is gone. I thought she was immortal. As youngsters growing into our teens we listened to the Beatles, ironed our hair, played with makeup, crank called boys we liked, walked a thousand miles up and down Pleasant Street and even went to Stations of the Cross and 12:10 Mass during lent. We were assuring our place in heaven. (Welcome home Joan) We graduated high school together, started college together and most recently attended our 50 th high school reunion.
Joan was always up for fun and you could expect the unexpected.
She was loving and compassionate to all she touched.
I´ll see you in heaven my friend. Save me a seat in the pew!
Love Janet Nelson
