John Bryda Obituary

John A. Bryda, 83, of Franklin, MA and formerly of Falmouth, MA; passed away on October 12, 2025, at Hope Health Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence, Rhode Island. He was the husband of the late Sandra M. (Sandland) Bryda who died on September 6, 2021.

Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island on July 24, 1942, he was a son of the late Frank Bryda and the late Florette (Bergeron) Bryda. He was raised and educated in Bellingham, MA.

He was employed as a custodian for the Town of North Attleboro School Department for 9 years prior to moving to Cape Cod and becoming the owner and operator of John's Cleaning Service in Falmouth, MA for more than 30 years prior to his retirement.

Since moving to Franklin, he enjoyed the many friendships he made at the Franklin Senior Center where he enjoyed playing cribbage on every Tuesday and Thursday. Previously, he enjoyed times spent at the Falmouth Senior Center.

Fly fishing was a favorite pastime next to enjoying his many cups of Dunkin Donuts coffee each day.

He was the father of John A. Bryda, Jr. and his wife, Gina (Alegi) Bryda of Franklin, MA; Todd M. Bryda and his wife, Pamela Bryda of Torrington, CT; Candace M. Bryda of Falmouth, MA and Michael E. Bryda of Massachusetts; several grandchildren including Nicole Bryda, Eleanor Bryda, Corey Travers; among his great grandchildren is Olivia Gomez and several extended family members.

He was the brother of Frank Bryda, Patricia Davis and Dennis Paquin.

He was the father-in-law of the late Nadine M. (Nolin) Bryda who died on January 29, 2010.

Family and friends are warmly invited to attend Visitation on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 pm in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA followed immediately by a Celebration of Life at 7:00 pm.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in John's name and honor may be made to the Friends of Franklin Elders - FOFE, Inc., to benefit programs at the senior center, 10 Daniel McCahill Street, Franklin, MA 02038, Hope Health Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 or to the Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation, 14 Prospect Street, Milford, MA 01757.
