Lorraine Leary Obituary

Lorraine M. Leary, 90, a lifelong resident of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Richard Leary.

Born in North Attleboro on May 23, 1934, she was a loving daughter of the late Victor McCormick and Anna (Skawinski) McCormick.

Lorraine was a graduate of North Attleboro High School. Prior to her retirement many years ago, she had been employed by Keith & Keith and S.M. Engineering.

A woman of deep Catholic faith, she was a devoted communicant of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in North Attleboro. In her free time, Lorraine enjoyed quilting, sewing, and tending to her garden.

She is survived by her devoted children: Lisa Vadney and her companion, Allan Murrant, of North Attleboro; and Shawn Leary and his wife, Sheryl, also of North Attleboro. She leaves her cherished grandchildren: Caitlyn Williams, Sarah Leary, Matthew Leary and his wife Eilish Mendonca, and Megan Leary.

She was the sister of the late Patricia McCormick.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Sperry-McHoul-Pichi Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in her honor by the Reverend David A. Costa on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM in Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church (Transfiguration of the Lord Parish), 14 Park Street, North Attleboro. Interment will follow in Saint Marys Cemetery, Towne Street, Attleboro Falls.

Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend. The family requests that all who plan to attend the funeral please report directly to the church that morning.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Lorraines name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Donations can also be made online at www.stjude.org.
