Margaret M. Murphy

Margaret M. Murphy, age 76, of Rochester, NH, formerly of Intervale, NH and Norton, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

Born in Medford, MA on July 1, 1949, she was a loving daughter of the late John J. and Margaret (deLisio) Murphy and the dear sister of the late Catherine A. Salisbury.

Peggy grew up in Norton and was a 1967 graduate of Norton High School. Prior to retiring, she had been employed as a Security Administrator at the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston for twenty years, retiring in 2002.

Peggy had made her home in New Hampshire for over twenty years and was a former longtime resident of Norton. While living in Norton, she was a communicant of Saint Mary's Church in Norton and at the former Saint Paul's Church in Taunton.

She is survived by her loving cousins, as well as her devoted friends.

Her Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Saturday, October 18th at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary's Church, 1 Power Street, Norton. Burial will take place at a later date at the Norton Common Cemetery in Norton.

Visitation will be held prior to the Funeral Mass on Saturday morning, October 18th from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp Street (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton.
