Marlene Congdon Obituary
The daughter of the late Warren and Regina (Goodyear) Dodge, Marlane was born in Norwood on March 21, 1946 and was a lifelong resident of Foxborough. She and her husband David were married on April 5, 1969. They spent their free time together at their second home on Lake Eden, VT.
Marlane was a Home Health Aide for Caritas Health Care of Norwood. An avid bowler, Marlane formerly played in a bowling league at the former Hi-way Bowlaway in Walpole and the former Ficco's Bowladrome in Franklin. She enjoyed Crafting, Crocheting and was an avid Knitter. Her grandchildren were especially fond of the Nanny slippers she made them year after year. She also enjoyed playing cribbage with her family and friends.
Beloved mother of David W. Congdon and his wife Doreen of Florida, Regina A. Dorr and her husband Rick of Foxborough, Constance V. Gonsalves and her husband Paul of Foxborough and Karl C. Congdon and his wife Kellie of Foxborough. Loving Nana of Samantha, Adam, Brian, Matthew, K. C., Joseph, Christopher, John and Olivia and Great-Nana of Remington and Sophia. Sister of the late Wendy Black.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 9 to 11 AM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxborough. Interment to follow at Terrace Hill Cemetery in South Walpole.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marlane's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society at https://donate.cancer.org/donate/today.
