Maureen Stringer Obituary

Maureen Ann (Jordan) Stringer, age 57, passed away at home on February 23, 2024, in Kingman, Arizona, with her loving husband of 27 years, Charles Stringer by her side.

Born in Walpole on September 10, 1966, Maureen was a beloved daughter of Albert C. and the late Patricia Jordan of Norton

Maureen attended Walpole schools up to Junior High before the family moved to Foxboro where she lived for many years. Maureen and Chuck made their move to Arizona in 2010.

Maureen lived her life on her own terms and fulfilled many of her dreams. When she had an idea and set her mind to it, she never quit. From landscaping to opening a restaurant in Norwood, she made it happen, with the love and support from Chuck. Her last venture was Sassy Sauce, a hot sauce company that she started from the ground up, and a portion of the proceeds went to help Veterans. Maureen loved this business but had to close when her health started failing more and more. She continued to enjoy her time cooking and baking, as well as showing others how to make bread, spending time with her dogs and cat, pointing out snakes for Chuck to get rid of and work to keep him busy.

In addition to her adoring husband Chuck and her father Albert, she leaves behind 2 children and 2 grandchildren, Daughter Jessica Lee Maney, and granddaughter Bridgette, her son Michael Maney and granddaughter Audrianna.

Maureen or Moe, as she was affectionately known as by her siblings and friends, will be remembered fondly: (sister)Kimberly and her husband Scott Harrington of Mansfield, (brother) Shawn Jordan and life partner Brenda White of Foxboro, (brother) Terrance Jordan of Norton, and (sister) Kathleen Jordan of Rhode Island. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Here's hoping the fishing is as good on the other side as it was at the canal down the Cape! Save us a seat.

Christmas parties, Easter egg hunts, caring for gramma Badger and her caring for all of us. These are good memories of you. You were awesome and knew how to take life. Your family were very lucky to have you. My best wishes to them. I know you're with them because you don't give up. Say hi to everyone up there. You're in the best company.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Jordan family and Maureen's husband, children and grandchildren....growing up there was a Jordan for every Jennings and we were lucky enough to live in a neighborhood like that. Rest in Peace Maureen....I know your memory will live on in your family and friends.

What amazing person she was. Growing up with her was never a dull moment. So many fond memories of a crazy cheerful strong, and definitely independent. When she wanted something she went after it. And usually got what she fought for. I haven't seen her in many years. I knew she wasn't in the best of health through her family. I'll always have many strong memories of our friendship growing up. My condolences to my Buddy Chuck and her family. RIP my dear old friend
