Patricia Calderwood

Patricia (DiMonte) Calderwood, age 74, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She was the daughter of the late John B. and Gilda (Pessia) DiMonte.

Pat was born on June 28, 1950 in Quincy, where she was raised and graduated from Quincy High School. She was married to her late husband Ralph E. Calderwood for fifty years. They lived in their home in Mansfield for over forty years where they raised their two daughters. Pat spent her children's early years caring for them and helping in their classrooms.

Pat was a loving wife, mother, homemaker and hard worker, putting her family first to ensure they had the best life possible. She had many jobs over the years, from finance to retail, and approached each job with the same level of dedication and responsibility, often being seen as a mentor and role model among her co-workers.

Pat was there for every occasion, always with a card and always with a story to tell. She would talk to a perfect stranger about her children and grandchildren, always proud and always with love. Pat was an active member of the community, taking part in weekly activities at the Mansfield Council on Aging where she had many friends.

Loving mother of Michelle and her husband Fred Hume of Bridgewater and Cynthia and her husband Jon Garboski of Franklin. Devoted grandmother of Jeremy and his wife Gabriella, Caitlyn, Alexander, Angie and Marissa. Sister of Phyllis Young, Paula Kennedy and Pamela Kelleher. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She leaves behind her committed partner Charles Mulcahey of Mansfield who was an integral part of her recent life. Pat will be greatly missed by Charles and his extended family who welcomed her with open arms.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday, June 23 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 AM. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Mansfield.
