Dear Rita, Mark, Family and Friends -- You know that Dad, Mom and I would be there today if we could. As things turned out, I received the details only yesterday morning. With Dad an inpatient, Mom's chronic illness, and appointments on their behalf literally every day this week, it was ultimately not possible for us to be physically present. Arriving home at 10pm last night, I briefly but seriously considered cancelling today's appointments to fly up to PVD at 6am & back to BWI at 6pm, but was simply too exhausted to embark on such an impetuous voyage. Nonetheless, we are ALL there beside you today in spirit, and sincerely hope a video link to the services will be soon forthcoming. Carla sent flowers on behalf of all of us, and I hope they arrive on time. Will call and write as soon as I have a chance. In the meantime, I wish God's abiding peace upon you and join my prayers with yours today. Robert was a good and godly man, and a doting uncle and gidfather, to whom I am forever grateful for abundant baby pictures and many memories. Godspeed, Uncle Robert; may your soul attain the eternal joy our faith proclaims.

Saddened to hear the passing of Bob. A good and faithful friend and follower of our Lord and Minister in his parish. My prayers are with Bob and you, Rita, as you mourn his loss. But he will always be part of your heart and the fabric of our Lady Queen of martyrs.
