Ronald Rogers Obituary

Ronald A. Rogers, age 76, of Foxborough, passed away unexpectedly at home, due to health issues on April 28,2024. He was the son of the late Doris & Malcolm Rogers, and the husband of the late Carol Rogers.

Ron was born in Providence, RI on June 12, 1947. He was a Vietnam veteran who served his country proudly. He also fought adamantly to keep the American flag flying solo on the Foxborough common. Ron enjoyed riding motorcycles and rebuilding cars and trucks in his younger years. He was an avid fisherman, tying on his flies and building ice fishing sleds. He enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables. His wood business also kept him busy. Ron was also a longtime member of the Wrentham Sportsman's Club.

Ron is survived by his children Amy Rogers-Riccard of Foxborough and Matt Rogers and his wife Melissa of Plainville. Beloved "Papa" of Lawrence Riccard Jr. of Florida, Cole Riccard of Foxborough, Riley Riccard of Florida and Aubrey Rogers of Plainville. Brother of Patty Cabral of RI, Donald Cabral of RI and the late Ronald Cabral of RI. Brother-in-law of Joyce and Phil Imbaro of Foxborough and Judy Kearney of Foxborough. Uncle of Tracey, PJ, Stephanie and Andrew. Great Uncle to Vanessa, Courtney and Emma.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to calling hours at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough on Sunday, May 5, 2024 from 1 PM to 4 PM. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 6th at 11 AM. Interment will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30 PM. So sorry for your loss. Roger was alot of fun and his laugh I will never forget.
Besides his friendship..I looked forward to Ice Fishing and his Stove on Ski's!!!
and making the breakfasts!
