I'm saddened to read of the transition of Sis. Curry. I had the pleasure of meeting and knowing of her while she played piano at Emmanuel AME Church, Cope, while I was yet a youth/young adult. I remember her gentle spirit. May the fond memories of her loving spirit give comfort and peace to her loved ones and all who live on to remember her. God's Amazing Grace be with you during this season of transition.

I met Mrs. Curry in 1979 when I began serving as an English instructor at the middle school in Estill South Carolina. Because I did not have a car, she provided my transportation to and from work.We immediately became friends and spent ( with my 2 children), many after school hours together shopping, eating out and some enjoyable social time. Mrs. Curry was an outstanding cook and a superb hostess. I visited her at a senior citizens facility a few years ago, and I found her in good spirits. I regret that I did not see her again. Indeed, she was my friend, and our times together will be forever remembered as a special part of my life.&
