ORANGEBURG - Funeral services for Mr. George Harrison Dantzler, 78, of 1515 Sheppard Road NE, Orangeburg, will be held 11am Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Simmons Funeral Home Chapel, 2868 Columbia Rd, Orangeburg, with interment to follow at Crestlawn Memorial Garden.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 1 to 6 p.m.
George Harrison Dantzler, son of the late Jacob Codiga Dantzler and the late Francena Sutton Dantzler, was born January 11, 1947, in Charleston, SC. On Saturday, April 19, an angel of the Lord visited George at his residence in Orangeburg while surrounded by family and quietly prepared his journey home.
George attended Bonds-Wilson High School in North Charleston and graduated from A.C. Flora High School in Columbia. He retired from Carpenter Specialty Wire and was the Owner of George H. Dantzler Drywall Service.
George was born January 11, 1947, in Charleston, SC to the late Jacob Codiga Dantzler and the late Francena Sutton Dantzler. He attended Bonds-Wilson High School in North Charleston and graduated from A. C. Flora High School in Columbia. He retired from Carpenter Specialty Wire and was the Owner of George H. Dantzler Drywall Service.
George is survived by his loving wife, Kay Clark Dantzler; six daughters, Derhyl (Claytheo) Middleton, Miriam (Curtis) Salters, Harriet Tonette Carroll, Persephone (Michael) Banks, Lakesha Lee and Candice (Anthony) Hilton-Green; two sons, Khira Dantzler and Keith Clark; one sister, Ruhbena (Ransom) Reese; twenty-one grandchildren; fifteen great-grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends may visit 1515 Sheppard Road, Orangeburg or call Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory of Orangeburg.
