I met Mrs. Gaters at Mellichamp Elementary School where she was employed as a Teacher's Aide. I absolutely loved talking with her because she always had something encouraging to tell you. Kind and patient are the first words that come to mind when I think of her. It was a shock to read about her passing but I know God welcomed her with open arms. My condolences to her loved ones and may God comfort and keep you always.

So shocked to hear of the passing of one that I admired very much. "Margaret Ann" as I called her, was a cousin that I didn't know for years and years, but once we came in contact with one another, our friendship grew. Keeping the family in thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Gaters was a kind and considerate person to me all the years we worked together in the Orangeburg School District. She offered help without being asked and truly showed compassion for the students we served. Her spirit and love for God was present in the room whenever she sang for us.
My prayers now are for her family, especially her children and her grandchild.
