Robert Lukens Obituary

Robert E. Lukens III

NEESES - Robert E. Lukens III,62, of Pine Hill Community, SC, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. He was the husband of Donna Davis Lukens.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Double Branch Baptist Church in Orangeburg, SC, with Dr. Clark McCrary and Rev. Wayne Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Double Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 3:00 pm, before the service, in the church fellowship hall. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Austin Williamson, Rawn Williamson, Cory Noll, Jeffrey Tyler, Tim Reed, Danny Fralick, Jamie Davis, Roy Kizer, Todd Berry, and Ronald Rutland.

Robert was born in Orangeburg, SC, a son of the late Virginia Delaney. He was a member of Double Branch Baptist Church. Robert was a loyal and dedicated Sales Manager for Toyota for 44 years. He enjoyed family beach trips, fishing, hunting, golfing, and most recently sitting in his truck at the farm admiring wildlife. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grand-loves, who were his heart and joy. His favorite name was Poppy.

We can only imagine the moment in heaven when his faith was made sight. What a wonderful reunion in heaven when he held his son, Brent, in his arms again and for eternity. Our hearts are broken as he will be so deeply missed. His smile, laughter, and love will always be remembered. We know that Robert has experienced the ultimate healing. He is perfect in the Presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is at peace at last. He is not gone, but gone ahead.

In addition to his wife of 43 years, Robert is survived by son, Brandon Lukens (Molly); Grandloves, Davis, Jack, Chamberlain, and Elsie Lukens; Mother-in-Love, Patsy Davis; Sister-in-Love, Terri Lynn Williamson; Sister, Debbie Dawson; Brother, Russell Delaney; Niece, Kelli Noll (Cory), and Angie Britt (Teddy); Nephews, Rawn Williamson (Christen), Austin Williamson (Josie); Great Nieces, Adi, Alyssa, Sadie, Nova; Great Nephews, Dillon, Gage; and fur buddy, Zella. He was predeceased by his son, Brent Lukens; Father-in-love, Ted Davis; and Patrick Dawson.
