Theodore "Ted" Edward Andrae, III

Theodore "Ted" Edward Andrae, III, 90, of Orangeburg, SC, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. He was the husband of Mrs. Estah Dean Andrae.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home Chapel.
Ted was born in Orangeburg, SC, a son of the late Theodore Edward Andrae, Jr. and Edna Hayden Andrae. During the 1940's, he was a lifeguard at the Edisto Memorial Gardens. Ted graduated from Orangeburg High School in 1951. After high school, he attended Davidson where graduated with a BA degree in Business. He also received degrees from the Gemological Institute of America. In 1976, Ted obtained his Diamond Grading and Evaluation Certificate. He was a former manager of Beach Bowl Bowling Alley in Biloxi, MS before starting Ken-Zon Tool and Die, Gold Bead and Co., Laurel Enterprises, and Andrae Boat Company. Ted was also the owner of Andrae's Jewelers in Orangeburg, SC. He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Army. He loved tennis, playing some golf, hunting, and boating. Ted was caring, loving, giving, and always supported his community. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Denise Jackson Andrae and son Theodore Edward Andrae , IV.
In addition to his wife, Estah Dean Andrae, of the home, Ted is survived by his children, Dana Rene Andrae of Mt Pleasant and Brett Reiland Andrae (Karen) of Orangeburg; step-children, Cynthia Dean Blanchard (Russell) of Orangeburg, Paula Dean Edwards (Gregg) of Creston, and Ann Dean Cipkala of Chapin; eight step-grandchildren; and one grandchild, Matthew C. Mitchum.
