Ann Symons Obituary

Ann M. Symons
Alton - Ann M. Symons 64, of Alton passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025 on the family farm where she was raised. She was born October 4, 1960 to Roland B and Ruth Ann (Hortsman) Rawson. Ann graduated from SIUE with a Master's Degree, where she also worked as a librarian.
In her free time she loved to ride horses, barrel racing and riding motorcycles.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Symons of St. Louis; mother, Ruth Ann (Hortsman) Rawson of Alton; two brothers, Robert (Gayle) Rawson of Jersey County and Roger (Carol) Rawson of Holiday Shores.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roland B. Rawson.
Cremation services entrusted to Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights. The family will hold a celebration of Ann's life at a later date. Online guestbook available at www.paynicfh.com.

I am so very sorry to hear this. I met Ann probably 40 years ago through Sherrie Pragger Neff her best friend. She was very sweet and fun. We were FB friends. I see her BD is today. She is together again with Sherrie.
