Godfrey - Anthony Michael Geisen, 20, died at 6:23 a.m. Sunday, October 29, 2023 at OSF St. Anthony's Healthcare Center. Born August 18, 2003 in Clayton, MO, he was the son of Roy and Sara (Dixon) Geisen of Godfrey. Anthony was a 2021 graduate of Marquette Catholic High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society and was currently attending SIUE studying cyber security. He was a member of Troop 16 Boy Scouts of America and had worked at The Home Depot in Alton. Anthony was a man of integrity and had such a strong Catholic faith. He was family oriented, kind-hearted, morally sound and held fast to his convictions. Along with his parents, Roy and Sara, he is survived by five brothers, Adam (Monica) Geisen, Alex Geisen, Andrew Geisen (Alyssa Harang), Aaron Geisen (Brittney), and Avery Geisen. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Violet Geisen, Sylvia Geisen, Kaden Geisen, Carter Geisen, and, due in December, Ameila Geisen. He was in a relationship with Kashish Tandon, who was his soulmate. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Samuel John Geisen and his grandparents, James and Bernadine Geisen and Don Dixon and Ellen Wiley. Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton. Father Christopher Uhl, OMV and Father Leland Thorpe, OMV will officiate. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to Marquette Catholic High School in Alton or to his family. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
