Billy E. Hamlin
Ft. Russell Twp. - Billy E. Hamlin, 83, passed away August 22, 2025 at his residence.
Born February 2, 1942 in Greenbriar, MO, he was the son of Paul and Mary (Moore) Hamlin.
Billy had worked as a self-employed Upholsterer for many years.
On March 14, 1986 in Edwardsville, he married Gloria A. Stassi. She survives.
Surviving also are two sons, Jeff Hamlin of South Roxana, Matt Hamlin in Hawaii; daughter, Denise (Greg) Ward of Richmond Hill, GA; several grand and great grandchildren; brother, Mike Hamlin of O'Fallon, MO; and sister, Pam Brenker of St. Charles, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Jim Hamlin, Jerry Hamlin, Tom Hamlin, Terry Hamlin; and four sisters, Alene Fish, Brenda Pickett, Linda Hale, and Patsy Hamlin.
Cremation rites were accorded.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Memorials are suggested to The Wounded Warriors Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Marks Mortuary in Wood River entrusted with arrangements.
