Chad Oulson
LAND O' LAKES, FLA.
Chad Wayne Oulson, 43, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, of a gunshot wound in a movie theater in Wesley Chapel, Fla.
He was born Sept. 28, 1970, in Alton, Ill., and moved to Clayton, Ill. before his first birthday. He attended Brown County schools and was a graduate of Brown County High School. He served in the United States Navy during Operation Desert Storm. He was the finance manager at Sky Power Sports in Port Richey, Fla. He was an avid dirt bike rider, enjoyed boating and playing the guitar. But most of all loved the time spent with his wife and daughter. He had the love and respect of his friends, co workers, neighbors, and acquaintances and was referred to as a leader, mentor, organizer, funny guy, genuine, entertainer, go-getter and full throttle guy.
Surviving are his wife, Nicole Oulson; daughter, Alexis Oulson, 22 months old; his mother, Barbara Schreacke (Jim) of Camp Point, Ill.; brother, Jeff Harpole of Quincy, Ill.; sister, Kip Hoosier (JD) of Camp Point, Ill.; a brother and sister, Clay Oulson and Renee Oulson both of the Alton area. Numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Oulson; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb 1, in the Glory Worship Center in Clayton, Ill., on Highway 24.
A service was held Jan. 18, in Land O' Lakes, Fla. Cremation rights have been accorded.
