I am shocked to see that Jeremy has passed - I was Chair's secretary in Biology Dept at SIUE when he was a student - I looked him up because I have a card from him and wanted to see where he was now - so sad - he was a lovely caring young man and I so enjoyed him at university.

The nursing home community had lost an awesome, truly brilliant physician and friend. He loved to teach and never became annoyed when nurses would bombard him with questions. Patients loved him, too. The world has lost a wonderful, witty man but, we will see him again in heaven❤

I didn't know Dr Ufert very long but he was very friendly and engaging and easy to get along with. He was always kind and always expressed to residents that came into his path what he was speaking about whenever giving new orders to a nurse about there wound care even if the resident was able to understand and/or speak. One thing that stands out especially is that he always had a smile.

It's with a saddened heart and sorrow that I say this, Dr. Ufert was an amazing doctor and a great friend. As a wound care nurse he took the time to teach me everything I know about wound care. He always had a smile, a way about himself that fellow co-workers and patients always gravitated in his direction. This is a great loss to our wound care community & he will forever be missed but not forgotten. My condolences to his wife, his boys, his family and to all who loved home. It's a tragic loss but the good Lord needed him more, may he rest in peace.

Our deepest condolences to the Ufert family and friends. We will miss him dearly at The Heights On Huebner. He was part of our extended family... A phenomenal physician. He was one who cared about his patients and doing what was morally and ethically right for them while in his care. He was great teacher to our staff and to future nurses that visited our facility. He loved to teach, and always found a way to make you laugh. He was a genuine man with a heart of gold, and he will be terribly missed. Rest in peace, Dr. Ufert
Sincerely, The Heights Family
