David Jones Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Evans Jones. He passed away on January 21st, 2024 at 5:20 pm at Alton Memorial Hospital with his loving family at his side after a brief illness.
He was born on April 16th, 1963 in Alton, Illinois to Bonnie (Dunn) and Larry Jones.
David lived a life of service, dedication, and hard work. He loved his family beyond words and spent his life making sure they were always taken care of. He was an Army veteran who proudly served his country. He served as President/CEO of William's Office Products. He was a respected businessman and pillar in the community. No matter what David did in life, he gave a 110% at all times. He had a love for dogs and will miss his pups greatly.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Rowland of Presque Isle, Maine. Linda Jones and sons Matt (Sara) and Tony Darr. Mother, Bonnie (Bill) Stork. Brother, Matt (Michele) Jones of Godfrey, Illinois. Sister, Kristen (Dave) Lange of Edwardsville, Illinois. Grandchildren, Drew, Maddie, and Emma. Nieces and nephews, Alex (Denise) Jones, Brandon (Kirstie) Lange, Adam (Sarah) Lange. Abraham and Corrine Jones. Great nieces and nephews Hayden, Hadley, Harbor, and Harlow. Uncles, Roger Jones of Alton, Illinois and Lorin (Deb) Dunn of Godfrey, Illinois. Cousins, Lindsay Wampler and family. Tyler Dunn and family.
He was preceded in death by his father Larry Jones. Grandparents, Robert and Florence Dunn and John and Dorothy Jones.
Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded professional services were entrusted to Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Mass and burial will be private per his request. We ask that donations can be made to two things very close to his heart. Mission 22 to raise awareness for veteran suicide and Dirks Fund for his love of Great Pyrenees.
The family would also like to express their gratitude for the amazing care he received at Alton Memorial Hospital, especially the ICU staff and Respiratory Therapy.

David Jones was a good, Godly and honorable man who loved his family and friends. A hard worker and a friend to many who needed a helping hand. David left us much too soon, but will always live on in our hearts and memories. Our world was a better place because of David

When my father Wayne Sivia, owner of Royal Office Products, had cancer Dave made it a point to check in on me and offer his assistance if needed while I ran the business. He also offered my dad help during the flood I (we) will never forget his kindness . Sorry to hear about this loss to our community .
