David Michael Vogt
Fairhope, AL - David Vogt, 75, formerly of Godfrey, IL, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 8:04 am at The Retreat at Saad Hospice in Mobile, AL.
Born on November 24, 1946, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Marian (Brunstein) Vogt.
On May 8, 1965, he married the former Linda Allene Springer, she survives. They just had their 57th wedding anniversary.
David was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and an avid John Deere toy collector.
He is survived by his wife and children, Annette Elliott (Phil Devening) of Bethalto, IL, James Vogt (Brian DeBourge) of Fairhope, AL and Jeffrey Vogt of Godfrey, IL; grandchildren, Michael Elliott of Greenwood, MO, Anna Vinyard of Brighton, IL, Rebecca Vogt of Alton, IL, and Dallas Vogt of Brighton, IL; great-children, Alexis, Sofaia, Amelia and Gabriel Elliott, Jorden Alexander and Hazel Thornton; and siblings Linda Poeling, Elaine (Mark) Houlihan, Chris Vogt, Connie (Kenny) Gould, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Dale Vogt, brother-in-law Bill Poeling and sister-in-law Susie Vogt.
He requested a simple cremation. Memorials or donation can be made to The Hospice Care Fund of Mobile and sent to The Retreat at 1515-B S University Blvd. Mobile, AL 36609
