Diana Dawn Barks
Brighton, IL - Diana Dawn Barks, 61, of Brighton, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at home.
She was born on December 29, 1963, in Alton, IL, the daughter of the late Donald Lee and Judy Kay (Fatchet) McElroy.
Diana married John Eugene Barks on August 14, 1993, in rural Macoupin County. He survives.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Brighton. Diana was an animal lover. She worked at Pick of the Litter in Godfrey, IL, and adored her dogs and horse.
In addition to her husband John, she is survived by four stepchildren, John Barks of Cottage Hills, IL, Tim Barks of Alton, IL, Vickie Barks of Savanah, GA, and Justin (Amy) Barks of Cottage Hills, IL; two grandchildren; one brother, Don (Lynn) McElroy; two nephews, Jake and Cody McElroy.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Brighton, IL.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Brighton, IL.
Burial will follow at Miles Station Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Miles Station Cemetery.
Condolences may be left online at www.andersonfamilyfuneral.com.
