Kingston - Donald Ernest Landry, aged 78, passed away on March 11, 2025, at Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin, NH. He was the beloved son of Rosario Landry and Dorothy (Bacou) Landry and brother of Dolores (Landry) Day all of whom predeceased him. Don and his birth family were residents on Kinsley Street in Nashua, NH.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Karen (Smith) Landry of Kingston, NH; his son, Craig Landry of Boston, MA; his daughter, Jennifer (Landry) Ainsworth of Newburyport, MA; and six grandchildren, James Lake Glaukos, Amelia Landry, Owen Landry, Annika Ainsworth, Oliver Ainsworth and Oscar Ainsworth. He is also a cherished uncle to Dolores' two children, Dwayne Day and Kathy (Day) Wilson; and his wife's siblings' children, Ralph Martin, Jacqueline Grace Martin, Ricky Martin, Laura Gourdeau, Edrick Smith and Austin Smith.
Don proudly served his country for four years in the United States Air Force after graduating from Nashua High School. He was stationed in Bangor, Maine and Goose Bay Labrador before being honorably discharged in 1971.
Following his military service, Don was hired by Honeywell Bull as a computer/printer technician. Over the years the company underwent several divisions and mergers, but Don remained in the same field and retired as a manager.
Don dedicated his life to family, friends and his country. He enjoyed golf, softball, skiing, hiking and travel. After retiring in May of 2010, he and his wife sold their Londonderry, NH home of thirty-seven years and moved into their fifth wheel. They spent three years traveling full time in the US and Canada before buying a home in Florida. The next six years they lived seven months on the road and five months in Florida or Hampton, NH. In the fall of 2022, they sold the Florida home and moved to Kingston, NH to be closer to family.
May Dons memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
