BRIGHTON - Harold Wayne Lafferty, 76, died at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born Feb. 22, 1938, in Brighton to the late Harry and Nellie (Brown) Lafferty.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Olin after 32 years of service.
Survivors include two daughters, Toni and Kevin Link and Angie Lafferty; five grandchildren, Brad Crane, Matt and Amanda Crane and Lindsie, Mitchell and Mya; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bill Lafferty.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie (Allsman) Lafferty; a granddaughter, Leslie Jo Elizabeth; a sister, May; and two brothers, Jim and Charles.
Services are private.
Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in honor of his great-granddaughter, Mariah Sue Edwards of Medora, Ill., the American Liver Foundation in honor of his grandson, Matt Crane of Brighton, or the American Cancer Society.
