June Pilger Obituary
Jerseyville, Illinois - June Maxine Pilger, 97, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 12:22 pm at Liberty Village in Maryville, IL.
She was born on August 25, 1927, and lived with her grandparents, Oscar and Laura Cornstubble. On December 24, 1948, June married Ross Pilger and he preceded her in death in 2006.
June worked as a surgical aide at Alton Memorial Hospital for several years. She was a devoted member of Faith Fellowship Church and owned and operated June's Ceramics. She had a passion for craft projects and enjoyed playing cards, particularly hand and foot and canasta.
She is survived by her children, Dennis (Vivian) Pilger of Broken Arrow, OK, Karen (Michael) Harris) of Edwardsville, IL, and Nancy (Moe) Goebel of Jerseyville, IL; a step daughter, Barb (Walter) White of Florida; eight grandchildren, Richard (Tori) Pilger, Kevin (Gabby) Pilger, Tonnette Welker, Shawn (David) Pilger-Graves, Erika (Daniel) Brynildsen, Nicholas (Katie) Harris, Tyler (Aimee) Gillis, and Jeremy (Brittany) Gillis; nineteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
June was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ross; and brother, Bill Allred.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, IL.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 10:00 am at the funeral home with burial following at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
