Keith "Popeye" R. Robins, 66, of Wood River, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
He was born in Wood River, on December 17, 1958, the son of Andrew John and Lois Evelyn (Albright) Robins, Sr. He married Trieste A. (LaRue) in Rosewood Heights on July 21, 1979. She preceded him in death on December 23, 2014.
Keith worked at Owens Brockway as a Machinist until his retirement in 2004. He was a member of the M 1 Garand Club and Machinist Union Local #660. He enjoyed golfing, riding his Harley, collecting guns, and loved anything spooky or haunted. Most of all, he loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter, Leah (Jason) Hammons of Savannah, GA; his twin brother, Kevin Robins of Wood River; three grandchildren, Kortney Ventimiglia, Mia Hammons, and Lucia Hammons; and his nieces and nephews, Zachary Robins, Kristopher Robins, Samantha Stratton, Madison Robins, Daniel Robins, Isaiah Robins, Jacob Robins, Tara Demand, Aaron Campbell, and Jeremy Campbell.
Along with his parents and wife; Trieste, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Robins and Andrew John Robins, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, where services will also be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 10 a.m., with Zachary Robins as officiant. Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
