KENNETH LINKEMAN
WOOD RIVER — Kenneth Herman Linkeman, 67, passed away at 5:03 a.m. Monday. April 14, 2014, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Dec. 15, 1946, in Edwardsville, the son of Alvin and Laverne (Eberhart) Linkeman.
He married Sharon Muglar on Jan. 3, 1965, at the Marine United Church of Christ. She survives.
Kenneth was a body shop manager for Ackerman Buick for 32 years and, after his retirement, he worked as an independent auto appraiser. He was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Bethalto and the Teamsters Local #618. He loved fishing.
In addition to wife, he is survived by his mother, Laverne Linkeman of Wanda; three children and their spouses, Keith and Donna Linkeman of Hamel, Shawn and Robert Stephens of Wentzville, Mo., and Kevin and Kristin Linkeman of Moro; six grandchildren, Jennifer and Will Prante, Keith Linkeman Jr. and his fiancée Alyssa Cook, Zachary Stephens, Maggie Stephens, Kylie Linkeman and Keaton Linkeman, and two stepgrandchildren, Robert and Jenny Stephens and Houston Stephens; one great-grandchild, Kadin Linkeman, and a brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Judy Linkeman of Granite City.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m.on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto with Pastor Erik Scottberg officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Lymphoma Society.

Kevin and family im very sorry to hear about your father passing. He was a great father to you he was at every game and always had a toothpick in his mouth it seemed. He will never be forgot. God bless and you all will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Kevin and Family,
