Loretta VanAusdoll
Wood River - Loretta Ann VanAusdoll, 87, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024 at her home.
Born October 22, 1936 in Michael, IL, she was the daughter of Leonard and Cecelia Elizabeth (Zipprich) Grover.
She had worked in the bookkeeping department at Illinois State Bank for 25 years before retiring.
Earlier in life, Loretta was very involved with her walking organization, "The Illinois Trekkers Association".
She married Marvin VanAusdoll on October 5, 1963 in Wood River. He died on December 19, 2020.
Surviving are a daughter, Staci Gusewelle of Alton; granddaughter, Carli Brown (Allen Skaggs); and great grandchild, Rowan Skaggs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a sister, Mary Cecelia Hendricks.
Visitation will be from 10 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am, Wednesday, February 7 at Holy Angels Parish Church in Wood River. Father Donald Wolford will officiate.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials are suggested to Disabled American Veterans.
Marks Mortuary in Wood River in charge of arrangements.
