Lulu Belle Long
Jerseyville - Lulu Belle Long, 85, passed away on November 17, 2021 at Jerseyville Manor. She was born on March 15, 1936 to Frank & Irma (Woolsey) Eisler in Jerseyville. Lulu was previously married to Morris Long and together they had 5 children. She was a cook at Jerseyville Moose Lodge and a member of the Women of the Moose. She is survived by her children: Tammy & Jeff Dillard, Mary Jo & Shannon Howland, Marlene Long and Artie Newton; her 10 grandchildren; her 15 great-grandchildren; she was also a grandma to anyone who came into the family; her siblings: Robert & Mary Lu Eisler, Ruth Ann & Jim Martin, and Joetta & Cleo Lott. She is preceded in death by her parents, sons: Steven and Charles Long, brothers: Ronald Eisler and Artie Eisler, sister: Doris Hardy, grandson: Nathan Newton, and her 20 year companion: Richard "Dick" Mossman. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 10:00 am – 12:00 (noon) at Alexander Funeral Home. Funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 12:00 (noon) at Alexander Funeral Home. Pastor Sonny Renken will be officiating the service and burial will take place at St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.

So sorry to hear of Lu´s passing. We attended the Jerseyville schools together from the 4th grade on. We became good friends. She was a very nice person and will surely be missed by everyone who knew her.
