Beautiful inside and out..

February 20, 2015

John,Jonelle,Samantha, What a sad day we awoke up to today. We have known Michelle since she was a teenager and came to the river with her Dad where all our kids grew up together. When Michelle was 18, wanting to be a Floral Designer, we owned Cullop Jennings Florist, offered to teach her everything she needed to know to be a designer and when she did, we hired her! She was one of our most talented and beautiful designers. Not only in flowers but in her gorgeous beauty outside and in her soul. Days working with Michelle with her awesome smile and fun loving laugh, made our Flower Shop so much better off for us and our customers. We were there when she married you John, and her two beautiful little girls were born. We went through all the girls grade school years, tales we won't tell, she was a joy! We lost her so she could run her own Flower Shop, but we truly never lost her as one of us. She was and always will be, one of our group of finest designers we ever had. And, we knew of her love of animals, we bought one beautiful German Shepherd she bred, he was a prize like her.
Everyone lost someone so special, but it is with Our Heavenly Father who has gained her beauty of heart and soul.
Our Deepest Sympathy John, Jonelle, Samantha and Ginny. May She Rest In Peace. God's blessings to all.

My wife and I were in the CAM Center cafeteria a couple of years ago and she said to me "isn't that John Skubish"? I turned and looked and Michelle and John were just sitting down at a table. We went over and talked awhile. We laughed, but never cried. They say a picture paints a thousand words and looking back at that snapshot in time, you could tell what a love of life Michelle had and was quite the trooper. Perhaps we are defined by the difficulties and trials placed before us and how we respond. I know that losing someone so near and dear to us can be devastating. My prayer is that you John, Jonelle and Samantha will let the good times be your memories and know that your wife and your mother's spirit will live on through you with everything you do and face in your lives. Our thoughts and our prayers are with the Skubish and Chatman families.

John, Jonelle, and Samantha, I have known you all since I was 5 years old. Michelle was a very wonderful person. She was a loving wife and a caring mother. I am so sorry to hear about her passing and know you all will miss her very much. Just know that she is in good hand's and no longer in any pain. Also know that she put up a great fight and would love nothing more than to be hear with you all right now. She will be looking down at you all and taking care of you from above.

Michelle was one of the most genuine people I will ever have been blessed to know. When I think of her all I see is her gorgeous smile and that beautiful laughter. I pray you can find comfort knowing she made our world a better place.
