Patrick Tarantino Obituary
Patrick "Pasquale" Thomas Tarantino
Trinity, Florida - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished father, Patrick "Pasquale" Thomas Tarantino, who left us peacefully at his home in Trinity, Florida, surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 28th, 2024. Born June 1, 1929 and at 95 years old, Patrick's life was a tapestry of exploration, creativity, and love. His vibrant spirit and zest for life were evident in his many passions — traveling, golfing, dancing, bowling, blackjack, gardening, billiards, and painting.
An accomplished athlete, Patrick excelled in high school sports and went on to play college basketball at NY Community College. His unwavering faith as a devout Catholic was central to his life, and he proudly served as a member of the Knights of Columbus being a Fourth Degree Officer as well as a Grand Night. Patrick also honorably served his country in the Air Force from 1950 to 1954 during the Korean War.
Professionally, he enjoyed a distinguished 40-year career with American Airlines as a Crew Chief at St. Louis Lambert International Airport, and was also the Local Union President. He married our beloved mother, Alice Rose Crim, in 1952, and together they raised six children: Thomas, Michael, Joseph, Patrick, Gerard, and Alyssa. Patrick and Alice's home was a haven of love, discipline, and faith, guiding their children with wisdom and warmth.
Patrick is preceded in death by his wife Alice, his sons Michael and Patrick, his brother Frank, his sister Jean Marchione, his parents Giuseppe and Maria Tarantino, his brother-in-law Joe Marchione, his sister-in-law Antoinette Tarantino, and his daughter-in-law Jackie Tarantino.
He is survived by his four remaining children; seven grandchildren: Patrick Tarantino, Megan Harder, Devon Tarantino, Logan Tarantino, Jordan Tarantino, Sophia Tarantino, and Joey Tarantino; two great-grandchildren: Lucas and Owen Harder; his son-in-law Howard McCallister; daughters-in-law Marcela Tarantino and Trisha Tarantino; and his soon-to-be daughter-in-law Karen Hunt Barnwell.
Patrick will always be remembered for the sparkle in his eyes and the profound love he had for his family and friends. His memory will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 13th starting at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in New Port Richey, FL at 10:00 AM, followed by internment with a full-honors ceremony at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida at 1:00 PM.
