PHYLLIS LAFERN STOCKTON
PORTLAND, OR — Phyllis LaFern Stockton was 74 when her Father in Heaven took her from home a year ago on March 5, 2016.
Phyllis was a much loved mother, grandmother, and friend. She was born in Norris City, Illinois, but lived in Portland Oregon the last 8 years of her life.
Phyllis fell in love with a sweet talking Marine and two weeks later married Steve Stockton in 1965. Nine years later divorced and raised three kids on her own in East Alton Illinois. She worked very hard as a barmaid and was loved by many. Her nickname was Lighting. She had a lot of friends, but in always stuck out in her life, Theresa Hetzel. She was the rock of her life. As a mother she would live without, so she knew her kids were provided for. After she retired she was cared for and lived with her children. She leaves behind 3 children Steve, LeAnn, and Mike along with 12 grand kids and 8 great grandchildren.

You were loved by many at Ken & Jo's ( my parents Kenny n Joann) . I will always remember your smiling face . Mom & dad thought the world of you & I know you did the same for them . Dad picked the right name for you too . Lightning ! I will always remember you by that RIP my friend

RIP Phyllis . You were loved by everyone at Ken & Jo's . I know you thought the world of my mom & dad (Kenny Joann ) they thought the same for you . You always had a smile on your face no matter what . Dad gave you the perfect name Lightning ! I will remember all the good times down there my friend . Love you Lightning
