Alice M. Magalski, 87, of Honesdale, died on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center in Honesdale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. Magalski Jr., on June 7, 1996. The couple married on May 4, 1957.
Born on Feb. 9, 1934, in Forest City, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Alice Mikulewicz. After graduating from Forest City High School, Alice began working at Bell Telephone in Honesdale. After raising her children, Alice went back to work at Waymart Knit Wear and later retired from Northeast Press.
Alice was a faithful member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Honesdale. She attended Mass daily and enjoyed breakfast with her friends following. She also enjoyed bus trips to the casinos with friends and family.
Surviving is her son, Mark Magalski and wife, Kate, of Waymart; her daughter, Joan Cook and husband, Jim, of Nicholson, Pa.; her brother, Robert Mikulewicz and wife, Dorothy, of Prompton; sisters-in-law, Carolyn and Margaret Magalski; grandchildren, Carissa Bugno and husband, Tony; Corey Balinas; Meghan Nebzydoski and husband, John; and Matt Magalski; great-grandchildren, Brieanna and Connor Bugno, and one expected soon.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Kliwinski.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the convenience of her family. A graveside service will be held in the spring. Arrangements by Hessling Funeral Home Inc., 428 Main St., Honesdale.

I am Annamarie Baranowski Rossi daughter. Your mom was a very special lady . She always kept in touch we visited her in the assisted living facility after my mom passed away . I have wonderful memories of Alice she was always smiling and such a pleasure to be around . My sincere condolences to you and she always spoke so fondly of her family . I hope all your wonderful memories help to ease your sorrow.
