Angela M. Butler 90, of Dunmore died peacefully Friday morning at her daughter's home with Hospice of the Sacred Heart. She was married to the late Harold Butler.
Born in Dunmore, daughter of the late Peter and Alice, Mancuso DeNucci, Angela was a graduate of Dunmore High School and was employed in the local garment industry for many years. She was a lifelong member of Ss. Anthony and Rocco Parish, Dunmore.
In her free time, Angela enjoyed volunteering at St. Anthony's Playground in Dunmore. She was a member of the MM Club in Dunmore for over 50 years, with many trips to New York, and many Broadway shows. Angela was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She was a good friend and had a great heart, she will always be remembered by her smile.
She is survived by her son, Edward and wife, Deborah; her daughter, Mary Weaver, and husband, Wade; two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jarett.
She was preceded in death by her four brothers, Frank, James, Phillip, and Ralph; and three sisters, Carmella, Isabel, and Lucy.
Angela's family would like to extend their appreciation to Julie Speicher, MD for the excellent care she provided.
The funeral will be Tuesday with Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Dunmore. Interment, Dunmore Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Morell LaBelle Funeral Home, 301 Chestnut St., Dunmore.
