Angela Kollra Obituary
Angela Kollra, 93, of Scranton, died Tuesday at home. She was the widow of Phillip A. Kollra, who died April 26, 2009.
Born in Dunmore, daughter of the late Salvatore and Josephine Vizzini Amico, she attended Dunmore High School and was a parishioner of St. Ann's Basilica. A devout Catholic, Angela enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family.
Surviving are three children, Phillip, with whom she resided; Gloria Giacomini, Scranton; and Diane Kakareka and husband, Charles, Mount Bethel; four grandchildren, Gloria, Kristen, Melissa and Therese; great-granddaughter, Briana; sister, Patricia Muraca, Dunmore; brother, Albert Amico, Marysville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Vincent, Anthony and Pasquale Amico; and two sisters, Teresa Amico and Gertrude Novorosky.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Ann's Basilica. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
Friends may call from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Arrangements by Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann's St., Scranton.
