Angelo Santarsiero Obituary

Angelo J. Santarsiero died Tuesday night at Regional Hospital of Scranton. He was married to the late Veronica Santarsiero.

Born in Dunmore, son of the late Donato and Carmela Sacco Santarsiero, he was a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish, Dunmore. He was educated in Dunmore schools and was an Army veteran serving in the European theater during World War II. Before his retirement, he was employed by the Pennsylvania Gas & Water Co.

Angelo was an extremely generous man who enjoyed spending his time helping others.

He is survived by a son, Robert and wife, Mia, stationed in Hawaii; two brothers, Michael of Clark Summit; and Carmen and wife, Barbara, of Dunmore; one great-grandson, Russell; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

Angelo was also predeceased by a son, Richard; a brother, Joseph; and a sister, Margaret Covello.

The funeral will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the Morell-LaBelle Funeral Home, 301 Chestnut St., Dunmore, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in St. Anthony's Church, 303 Smith St., Dunmore. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery.

Friends and family are invited to call on Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m., at the funeral home.
