Also left to remember him always are his parents, Gerard Jr. and Alice; his brothers, Kevin and Chris Musto, and sister, Kate Musto; paternal grandmother, Domenica "Mickey" Musto; maternal grandparents, Jack and Joan Egan; his in-laws, Rey, Edith, Nikolas, Jose, Jen and Ada Melgarejo; his best friends, Mike Dalessandro and Timmy Carroll; his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and his dog, Lefty.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Gerard Musto Sr.

A funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish, 535 N. Main St., Pittston, to be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas J. Maloney.

A special thanks of infinite gratitude go to all the staff and family at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, those who were there from the beginning, those whom we recently met, and everyone along the way. I am so sorry to learn of Brian's passing. Since I lost touch with him, I had no idea. I am devastated.

I taught Brian at the University of Scranton, and he was one of the most impressive students I've had the privilege of knowing. I was so proud that he attended Cornell Law School.

I will hold the embrace of my kids a bit longer tonight in Brian's memory. I wish all of his loved ones God's peace at this time.
