Catherine DelRosso Obituary

Catherine P. DelRosso of Dunmore died Monday morning in the Evergreen Health Care Center in Scranton, where she had resided for the last few years. Her husband, Joseph "Joe Dee" DelRosso, died Oct. 30, 2002.

Born in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Vita Grace Ross DeMuro. She was a graduate of Dunmore High School, class of 1937, and graduated from beauty school. She was a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish and was a member of the former Hilltop Belles in Dunmore. She was a warm, caring and gentle mother who filled the lives of her family with love and laughter. Catherine's family would like to express its gratitude to the staff at the former Moses Taylor Skilled Nursing and the staff of Evergreen Health Care Center for the love, compassion and excellent care that she received during her stay there.

Surviving are two daughters, Lucy Luciano and husband, Joseph; and Ann Louise Dunback and husband, Ronald, both of Dunmore; two sons, Paul DelRosso and wife, Donna; and Joseph DelRosso, both of Dunmore; five grandchildren, Joseph Luciano Jr., Dunmore; Maura Irving and husband, Patrick, Old Forge; Jean Dunback, Dunmore; Erika DelRosso, Dunmore; and Johnathan DelRosso, Dunmore; a great- granddaughter, Mia Irving, Old Forge; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Margaret, Mary, Ann and Lena DeMuro and Rose Rossiter; and four brothers, William, James, Joseph and Paul DeMuro.

The funeral will be Thursday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith Street, Dunmore. Interment will take place in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, Dunmore.
