It is with a heavy heart, that we announce Darryl Crain Zewe, beloved father of Sky Sunshine Heidi Goodwin and Nicole (Niki) Leigh Hall, passed away at the age of 71, on Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, at 4:55 p.m. in Issaquah, Washington.
Darryl is survived by his two daughters, Sky and Niki; his brother, Andrew (Chip) Zewe; sister-in-law, Diane Zewe; the mother of his children, Debbie Stoeckel; his grandchildren, Aja, Sophia and Hudson; and nieces and nephews, Angel, Richard, Jennifer and Amy. He was preceded in death by sister, Debbie Audre Hetzer; and brother-in-law, Edward Raymond Hetzer.
Darryl was born in Scranton, Pa., on Sept. 23, 1950, to Andrew Jacob Zewe and Audrey Corrine Thomas Zewe and was the middle child of three. Darryl's true calling was taking care of others. He joined the military in the mid-'70s, where he served in the United States Army and later the Air Force, where he earned numerous awards due to his strong work ethic. He attended Penn State and later retired as a U.S. Postal worker. Darryl was passionate about all things health, loved exercising, was naturally curious, watched the news, Jeopardy, sports and hunting for unique treasures while thrift/garage sale shopping. He would garden, walk, bikeride, play sports with his grandkids, call those he loved daily and listen to live music.
Darryl has been described by everyone who knows him as compassionate, loving, strong, generous, funny and just a good person. A virtual celebration will be held later in February; please reach out to the family for more information. The family would like to thank all the medical professionals and organizations over the years that helped Darryl.

We were so sorry to hear of Darryl's passing. John and I worked ( working with Darryl was fun) at Paperback Booksmith in the Viewmont Mall in the late 70's. He managed the music department (knew his music!!) and was well liked by all the staff. We sure had a lot of fun with Darryl. We are certain that he was a wonderful father and easy going friend to many. May you rest in peace Darryl.
