David Eugene Allegrucci, 61, of Buckeye, Ariz., passed away on Feb. 26, 2024, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on July 6, 1962, in Scranton, Pa., to Jean Gallagher-Aronson and the late Eugene Allegrucci.
David was the proud owner of the Allegrucci Law Firm. He graduated from Bishop Hannan High School and went on to attend the University of Scranton and the University of Dayton Law School.
A nature enthusiast, David traveled on numerous African safaris and loved spending time outdoors, especially hiking in the desert to track wildlife. He had a deep appreciation for sunsets, his cats and the beauty of the desert after a rainfall. An avid Arizona Cardinals fan, David held season tickets for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, hiking, writing, reading and fly fishing in his leisure time. He was especially proud of his Italian heritage and spoke of it often.
David will be dearly missed by his siblings, Gary Allegrucci (Debbie Allegrucci) and Terri Allegrucci; his nieces and nephews, Jeanmarie Biemer (Jack Biemer), Olivia Hart (Jim Hart), James Winger and Emily Allegrucci; as well as many friends in Pennsylvania and Arizona.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul's Church, 1510 Penn Ave., Scranton, by Monsignor Neil Van Loon, pastor. Friends may call Tuesday morning at the church from 9:30 to Mass time. Interment Italian-American Cemetery, Minooka section.
David's faith was an essential part of his life and he worshipped at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Buckeye, Ariz. We believe his strong faith has guided him to his eternal home with God. May David rest in peace, surrounded by the love and memories of those who cherished him.

Mr. Allegrucci became a friend after seeking his professional help as my services as well. I’d often stop by and just talk of life events and childhood. I was shocked of his untimely passing and still miss seeing him outside trimming trees or tending to his adopted babies. You are surely missed David.

I am shocked to read that David has passed. We have known him for 37 years. Priscilla worked with him at Hugh Heffner's law office in 1987 for several years. We have maintained a personal and business relationship with David referring clients back and forth between our Accounting practice and his law practice and all of our clients had nothing but great comments about the service they received with David. He was the most honest attorney we have ever know. We will miss him greatly. It was an honor to get to know him and work with him.

One of the nicest people one could ever want to know. Law school friend and best man at my wedding. Always enjoyed our conversations about life and law. Will be missed at the annual UD alumni-Newport chapter meetings.

David and I went on safari to Tanzania not long ago and I was blessed to have known him and been a part of that adventure. Dave was truly a wonderful human being, a genuinely nice guy, and a credit to his profession. We who knew him are infinitely poorer for his passing. God bless and keep you, my friend.

David appeared in front of me regularly in the bankruptcy court. He was a dogged advocate for his clients, always fighting for what he believed was just. I suspect he often took on issues and appeals even when his clients couldn't afford to pay him, simply because it was the right thing to do. His passing is a loss for our consumer bar. Prayers to his family.
