Delores T. Wagner Blasko, 89, of Scranton, passed away early Monday morning, Oct. 10, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. Her beloved husband, Alfred S., passed away in 1988.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Stella Reda Wagner. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church. Delores loved her trips to the casino, playing cards with friends and bingo. Above all, Delores's greatest joy in life came from raising her loving family, most especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, they were her pride and joy, affectionately as their "Gigi."
The Blasko family would like to express their deepest gratitude to everyone from Hospice of the Sacred Heart. They truly went above and beyond for their mother. They will be forever grateful.
Delores is survived by two daughters, Patricia Kashuba, Scranton; and Dawna (Frank) Casella, Pittsburgh; two sons, Alfred (Kim) Blasko, Kissimmee, Fla.; and David (Michele) Blasko, Dunmore; 10 grandchildren, Stefanie (Carmine) Pellegrino, Missy (Gerry) Pellegrino, Maura (Tim) Sarnese, Kate (Mike) Cusumano, Brianna Blasko, Noah Blasko, Cole Blasko and Hope Blasko; and 12 great-grandchildren, Beyonce, Sofia, Gabriella, Domenick, Antonio, Cara, Liliana, Louis, Alyssa, Nico, Lillian and Aria.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, MaryAnn Blasko; a son-in-law, Thomas Kashuba; a granddaughter, Jennifer Kashuba; a grandson, David Blasko; a brother, Aloysius Wagner; and 10 sisters, Helen Weber, Anna Connelly, Eleanor Kiesenoski, Mercedes Lowe, Mary Zembik, Jean Sulz, Ruth Thomasofsky, Lorraine Cook, Madelyn Colarossi and Rose Wynn.
Family and friends are invited to attend Delores's viewing Friday, Oct. 14, from 9 to 10 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 1309 W. Locust St., Scranton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Father Samuel J. Ferretti, officiating. Interment with the Rite of Committal to follow in Cathedral Cemetery.
